About the book
In May of 2005, the author went into the woods and journeyed down a tunnel to a brightly lit cavern. She returned with an urgent message from the creatures of the Earth to all humanity.

Meet the toad, weasel, beetle, lizard, caterpillar, snake, hedgehog, spider and opossum. Learn the difference between natural time and artificial time and the role that time plays in the health of the Earth. Come away with the six points that the small creatures wish to share with humans.

For adults and children, illustrated by the author.

Chapter One Natural Time Vs Artificial Time:

The great toad shifted his weight to get more comfortable “Once, time was very different from the way that you experience it now on Earth. Your ancestors held a sense of time within themselves that worked in correlation and harmony with nature and the the Earth. It was what was, there was no sense of any other way. The rising of the sun, the setting of the sun, the coming of the seasons, and the cycles of the moon--this was how it was… and is. It is just that man has separated from this natural time and has created artificial time, so that his trains and planes might move on schedule. This is what is causing the downfall of all the Earth systems. This simple and seemingly innocuous shift to artificial time is causing the whole Earth system to fall apart. Never before has this been the reason for the downfall, never before has there been such a time of remorse and yet so much potential for positive change. For those members of humanity, who see this inconsistency and understand the reason for it, will see clearly what has been done to the earth and will see clearly that there is no choice but to shift back to natural time.”

About the Author
Hope Ives Mauran is a translator and interpreter for the living Earth, her art and writing help to make visible that which is unseen.

We live on an amazing planet that has nurtured and sustained our ancestors for thousands of years. Troubling changes are occurring on Earth, and if we are playing a role in this change, we need to take a look at what we might do to adjust. Our challenge is to find the true cause the change, not simply to ameliorate the symptoms of the imbalance. The small creatures I encountered in the woods, can lead us to a vibrant and healthy planet Earth.
